Well I have decided to study Japanese first. :) its not the end though for South Korea and Korean! :) I will still be studying Korean on my own after school~

But, I will be hopefully going to Yokohama Japan again for my junior year of College attending Yokohama National University~ :)

& I hope to have a trip to Seoul during that time and I am still hoping for a family trip to South Korea and I am going to apply for the Spring Break scholarship to South Korea too :)

My major I found out allows me to major with 2 languages so during grad school I will change over to Korean when I pursue another higher degree :) CANT WAIT! Learning both is the only solution I see~~~ so I am going to see that it happens!

I didn't get the scholarship. It sucked reading that email, and I did cry a bit. But, I know I will get to Korea eventually. It isn't the end. :)

My parents and I have talked and I probably, most-likely, will be going to South Korea my sophomore year of college. Since the university I am attending here in Utah doesn't teach lower level of Korean, I want to go as soon as I can and start learning the language. They teach all levels at the two universities I am looking at (Yonsei and Sungkyunkwan). I will focus on my generals my freshman year and finish most of them, then my Sophomore year in South Korea I can finish all of them and focus on the language aspect of my major. :) I think that actually being there will boost my language level along with taking a lower level class at the same time. They only teach Level 3 or higher at my university here so I hopefully can reach that by the time my junior year comes. :)

I will try to update Kpop news on this blog; and my future Korea plans a couple times this summer after I talk with my Asian Studies Advisor at school.

CIEE emailed all of their applicants and they said they don't have their finalists picked yet and we will know sometime tomorrow.

what's one more day, right? I've made it through months of waiting for YFU and a month already for this :) I hope that all the applicants I have talked with receive this scholarship! They are great! :) and all of you who have worked hard, I hope you get it as well! Good Luck to everyone!

It is finally THE day tomorrow! D-DAY (AKA, for this situation, Decision Day) :) All of us applicants will start getting our responses concerning the summer program. I am so nervous. My heart has been fluttering everywhere!

I hope and pray I get this opportunity and that the other amazing people I've talked to on the Facebook page get it as well! They all are amazing, well-rounded, and non judge-mental. Just GOOD people that will make a positive mark on this world I can tell. :)

Today is one of my favorite Korean Aritist's birthday and I am sure everyone knows who it is - and because of his birthday I am able to say that I only have 2 weeks left until I know whether or not I get to go to South Korea! :)

It is TaeYang's birthday! :) Just 4 days before my own, his is the 18th and I will be turning 18 in 4 days. So Happy Birthday Taeyang! I am so glad I had the chance to see you and the fellow Big Bang Members live! Fighting! I hope you stay successful for a long time! ~

I am nervous yet excited to hear news, not only for me, but for all of the applicants for the South Korea program. I hope I get to go, but if I don't it wont be the end :) I will apply for the college spring break and keep on furthering myself to get to South Korea! Lastely, I want to sincerely say good luck and I hope you get the opportunity to go ~ to all the applicants! Fighting!

***Anyway I finally finished my application a week or so ago and I received an email saying that they will be going over it and I should know by the first of June if I was accepted or not. I am freaking out...officially. I get so nervous at random times - like right now, writing this, my heart is fluttering because I am just so nervous. I have also met so many amazing people that are applying for it on facebook and they are so nice! :) I also met a girl who went last year and now this year she is going to Japan with YFU! So we basically swapped places. She was really nice and told me about her experience.

I am going to try and be better about posting but I probably wont post unless I find something to post about :)

OH! BTW - WATCH RUNNING MAN! It is one of the funniest variety shows I have ever seen! Haha

Well this month is the month that us determined teens are applying for the scholarship program. I just wanted to wish all of you good luck that are applying and I hope you succeed! I am praying and crossing my fingers for all of you individuals that are working towards this scholarship! Just by taking the initiative you all have become above and beyond the "norm" of a high schooler!

This upcoming Saturday will be the last airing of the Goguma couple on WGM :( It is really sad to see them go, but because of their busy schedules they are having to give up a lot of their television series. It will be a bittersweet episode I am sure. I hope that they will have a chance to continue their relationship as a real couple if they want in the very very near future ^^ *I know all of our fans are rooting for it!~

JAPAN

As many of you know I lived in Japan over the summer of 2010 and, luckily, my host family lived in Yokohama so they did not get the worst of all this devistation in the north of Japan. My Okasan (mom) said that our house had some dishes broken, the tv had fallen down, and other things had fallen, but other than that the house was safe and they have water, food, and power. My sister, Shino, was on a train when it happened, as well as my Otosan (dad). Okasan said that she picked up Shino @ 4 and they didn't get home until 10 pm! Otosan had to sleep in another place of refuge for the night, but they were all safe, which I was glad to hear because I could not reach them for over a day. :( But All of my friends in the surrounding areas were safe and ok so I was pretty reassured.

3.11.11 in the USA, the day after for Japan, was not a good day for me :( I was crying a lot and I was very ansy. I tried to contact my friends and family there from 5 am til 12 pm...

it felt like my second home was being destroyed. And I am sure many, many, others outside of the country feel the same way. It was devastating to watch on the news yet all I could do WAS watch. I couldn't do anything. I wanted to hop on a plane right then and do anything I could to help.

Japan is an amazing country and I am proud to call it my second home. Please pray and watch over the wonderful nation, and people, of Japan.

WELL its been 8 days since my last post, and I just wanted to clarify some new things that will be happening on my blog :)

I have decided not to blog as frequently as I do (even though I don't even do it that frequently haha)

I am just concentrating on school and I need to get ready for AP exams, and applying for this amazing program over the summer.

This means I probably wont be explaining each episode of WGM until summer comes around, but I can say this that the YongSeo couple will be leaving WGM. They will be filming the rest of March but then they are done :( They better kiss at least once!

SO lastely I will say this, I will update this blog if I find something that I really need to vent about or some great KPOP news that I just want to talk about :) & of course when I apply next month for the program I am sure I will put up a few posts.

Well I can finally apply for the program in 26 days :) I am excited and I hope I can work hard enough to receive this opportunity and meet other amazing teens with the same passion as mine. :) I've been just studying the history, customs, and language to the best of my ability :)

FINALLY! These Guys are amazing, I was so lucky to have the opportunity to see them in concert when I was in Japan. My host sister and I entered a contest for tickets through a text message thing we saw on TV for their concert for the last day I was in Japan and we won some VIP tickets! It was the best concert ever.

This was just released "today" in Asia at least :) Since it's already the 24th in Asia. But, its OF COURSE another great song! If you haven't listened to it yet, do it!

So I was kind of disappointed...yet after I watched for like the third time I fell in-love with it! haha I still think it would be so much cooler in Korean, but I'm new to chinese music so its a good and new adjustment, however it will take a while for me to really get into it. :3

I hope they do a version in Korean....

DREAM HIGH ends next week!!!!!!!!! only 1 more episode to go. :'( Its an amazing show that I will be ordering ASAP. :) I love finding a show that you can re-watch! It's only happened twice for me! "Playful kiss" and "Creating Destiny" (which I need to buy a better, not cheap, version of Creating Destiny because the quality SUCKS. I'll just have to push it and get the nice deluxe edition, its really worth it :) haha)

I...I have to take back what I said. I DO, want Sam Dong and Hye Mi to end up together. hahahah I told you I'm bi-polar. But He is the only one who is making the EFFORT, now Jin Guk is just being good to her and letting her decide, but he doesn't tell her how he feels so, I surrender. Sam Dong deserves her...and she obviously is in love with him now... (sigh)...its ok Guk-ha I'll take you! haha

Super Juniors new music video is soon going to be released! It's weird only seeing 7 members and with a new face! But, I will support them completely!

SuJu had the face of that sexy yet cute side and their dancing wasn't authoritative, however now they are stating their claim and coming back looking even sexier than ever! :)

Hey everyone! It's been awhile since my last post, sorry I am not very punctual. I've been quite busy with school and extra curricular activities :) My school is doing Pride & Prejudice and they are doing brilliant! I get the honor of doing all makeup and hair, and helping with costumes and set when I can! Its a great way to stay involved with my school. Basically theater tech and yearbook keep me linked or I would have graduated early! haha (BAD CASE OF SENIORITIS)

~Anyway---

I can say officially that Dream High is my new number one television series :) Its just BRILLIANT! The drama within the series is just REALISTIC! Which, many series are deviating from lately. I've been getting many soap opera vibes from several series, its good to see realistic story-lines from a drama series. Thats what made me like Creating Destiny so much; even though it was far fetched it was still within realistic tension spikes.

Jin Guk and Hye Mi are a great couple, but ever since their kiss their romance isn't really a romance its just - there. Its cute and I love their little moments, but I wish there was more to it. Honestly, I might get some hate for saying this, however, I don't want Sang Sam Dong and Hye Mi to be together. I know! I know~ its horrible to say but its what I think. They work together better as friends, for how I view their characters. Sam Dong is a great character and the love triangle tension he causes is great for the plot as well as his newly found tinnitus, but I don't want him to seem weak and be ruined by the fact that Hye Mi isn't his. As the show is moving right now he is gaining his strengths once again and I want him to stay on that path without the angst from a unrequited love interest. I want Sam Dong to become a character that is a power house, where Hye Mi sees him and says, "wow I missed out." I want Sam Dong to be happy and even if there is a happiness with Hye Mi, I think he can find it on his own. Jin Guk just fits Hye Mi to a T! He knows not the be angry over things and understands her inside and out. He also loves her, but doesn't leave out everyone else blinded by his new love interest. (Look at me getting all attached to these characters)

I am just WOWED by the dynamics of Dream High! I even call it my, better, Korean Version of GLEE! Ha ha Even though I've only seen one episode of Glee and really don't have enough knowledge to say so, but my cousin agrees with me and she loves Glee.

Honestly, my favorite character throughout Dream High is Pil Suk :) She is a character that is inspiring to me. I love IU and commend her for playing such a very dynamic character that overcomes so many changes and becomes stronger. I have been inspired by IU's role, Pil Suk. Like Pil Suk's journey of losing weight, so am I. Its amazing how a fictional character can inspire a reality. IU is a beautiful woman/actress who has become an inspiration to me and my new role model!

Also, her relationship with Jason (Wooyoung from 2PM) is so great! It literally is the classic tale of friendship to unrequited love to mutual love and jealously! I love it!!!

This really is a GREAT show, that I will buy -MOST DEFINITELY-

We Got Married~

Another cute episode. Nic and Vic continue their day with 2PM. They watch the videos of Nic&Vic and attempt to eat food in a hurry and Chansung breaks something in the kitchen. She looked so overwhelmed! But, she did her best and they will have other opportunities to have more "organized" parties. Nic also makes Chansung do all of these things, basically "removing the competition" is Nic's style! haha After their day Nic was already sick so he hopped in bed and Vic brought him some tea and snacks and she climbed under the covers with him. :) THE END~ haha Can't wait to see this weeks episode!

Yong~ & Hyun~ have been told to go to a ski resort for the weekend (bringing back memories of Gain and Jokwon? haha). Yong Hwa teaches Seo Hyun how to ride a snow board and he does fantastic! Seriously I want him to teach me! She is lucky! He helped her get all dressed and was of course Choding, yet in this episode I saw more of a "man," haha, in him. I think these two are growing closer. So next week they will continue their ski weekend :)

Well I honestly have been checking, SMENT, JYPENT, Realcollabo, etc... for new updates or music releases but I haven't seen that much thats honestly "new" thats interesting enough for me! haha I will try to dig deeper this weekend to see if there is any super urgent news!

Hey everyone! Another week has already past basically and I pretty much have no news for you, because, it's official, I am the worst blogger EVER~ haha it's just hard with school to keep up! But, I do have a bit of news!

Amber is finally WITH f(x) once again and preparing herself for their comeback. So FINALLY she is back with them! :) I can't wait to hear some music performances with all five again!

SNSD has been working hard in Japan promoting Run Devil Run (full Japanese version) :) Its good but it flows better in Korean to me, but it isn't bad to listen too, but it just isn't catchy enough for me to download xP haha I wonder what Genie sounds like in Japanese? hmmm...we will have to wait and see.

WGM airs tomorrow night and I am so excited!!!! I just frikkin cant get enough of that show! is Season one on DVD? cuz I really want it xD haha. I also REALLY want them to get another new couple on the show, but I do like that their episodes are a lot longer because there are only 2 now. They really need a new celebrity couple and it should be another 2PM member or 2AM! THAT WOULD BE AWESOME. xD

There isn't really any big MUSIC industry news that i've seen. It seems like now is the silent time for music. Just promoting!
When is 2pm going to come out with a new mv? seriously.

I'm currently watching Secret Garden and Dream high, both excellent! Watch THEM. xD

KPOP m/v of the week

I chose GD and TOP's m/v "Knock Out" which for some reason has been ban on all major TV networks in the ROK. Compaired to American music, the lyrics arent bad AT ALL. They basically just talk about how awesome they are. But they literally are the only people that can pull off this weird/ladygagalike/just weird m/v and still be considered "bad ass"

I am updating when I said I would!

WGM was just a fun episode! Now that there are only 2 couples left each of their episodes are around 30 mins! Its awesome. :) Surprisingly, there was more skinship from Seohyun and Yonghwa rather than Nichkhun and Victoria. But, once you see it you will know why. :) It was just FUN! :) Haha Also Junho, from 2PM, has joined the hosting station for WGM and he is a great addition! Don't worry he isn't replacing anyone, 2AM is still hosting as well as everyone else! :) I hope we see a new couple soon!

WGM, Other KPOP news, and CIEE

Sorry I haven't been updating as much as I would like too! I'll try to get better at it!

WGM: So I have been studying into these "rumored couples" and I read an article interview with WGM's producer and she said that they have not even decided who will be on WGM now. She is denying all of the rumored couples, she even stated that people that aren't celebrities could be joining WGM. That would be interesting, but I think they will lose A LOT of ratings.

Jokwon and Gain's episode ended with no sparks or kisses. :( In many fans disappointment they basically just "parted ways" after a visit back to there house where Jokwon did a small event for her. He had her look out the history room window and he gave her a message. It was cute, but there was no kiss! accept Gain gave him a good hug before she left. Jokwon, of course took the picture of them kissing that was hanging in their living room and she took the message he wrote for her. I'm sure they took more but that is how they ended it. Basically there was A LOT of crying in that episode, even from the hosts, but especially from them. I even cried. You get so attached to the couple and now they are forced to end everything that they went through. It sucked. But, I think it was time. I hope they eventually continue a relationship, even in secret. They still get to see each other on the set of their sitcom so it isn't the end of their TV career together.

Nichkhun and Victoria ended their trip in Thailand last week. It was very cute, but us fans got a bit of anxiety - thinking there was a ring in the cake! - that would have been amazing! But, it still was sweet. Their skinship is just PERFECT. :) I can't wait to see them kiss. They are the baby couple on WGM so far, but they have more skinship then all of them this season! I think a relationship could be DEFINITELY possible for them outside of WGM. :) Nichkhun taught Victoria how to swim and they had a nice romantic dinner on the beach. Then they went to the airport where they were greeted by Nichkhuns Grandma, Mom, and sister Charlene. It was cute, they gave them the couple t's they made and Nichkhun cried a bit when they left and they all gave warm hugs to both of them. Then they left through the gate. THE END~ (I still have to watch this weeks episode so I will try and update on that tomorrow or tonight! I'm a bit behind)

Yonghwa and Seohyun continue their sushi lunch with Yonghwa's mother. It was very sweet and I think they broke a lot of the barriers between the in-laws, she was very kind and attentive to his mother and gave her and the family gifts and wrote them a letter and his mom got a little choked up. It was very sweet she wanted her son to feed Seohyun and so he did and she thought it was just adorable. She gave them some advice on their relationship and ways to strengthen it. After they walked his mother to the car, hand in hand! - they went walking towards the beach. FINALLY their skinship is growing. I think a while ago Seohyun was starting to have feelings for him, now he is feeling the same way. So I expect skinship to grow, slowly but surely with these two! (still have to watch their current ep. will try and update asap!)

IN OTHER KPOP/KDRAMA NEWS:

I haven't seen any MAJOR KPOP updates that I'm interested in lately except for INFINITE'S m/v "BTD" so good., but as far as KDRAMAS go, Dream High is currently airing with 2PM, JYPark!, MISS A etc from JYP! It is a fantastic show and I highly recommend it~ it is like the BETTER, dare i say it, Korean Version of GLEE! :) so cute! Also Secret Garden, started watching that last night, it recently completed but I have been nagged to started it and it is good so far, and I've heard just fantastic towards the end! So watch that too if you need a new KDRAMA list!

CIEE:

I am currently working with them to find Host Families in Utah! It is fun, but I haven't found anyone yet that is super committed or interested. :( I hope some turn up soon! Also they told me not to start my application, because they are making changes to it so I should start the new one in April. So I decided to start it anyway and have it just done because if some of the questions are the same i have solid answers. :) But, even if it is completely different I'm glad I'm getting practice!

I'll update on the new WGM episodes tomorrow or tonight!

Kpop & ciee Update

Ok, so I forgot to do the KPOP update when I said I would. Sorry x) But, anyway here it is:

Jokwon and Gain's LAST episode on We Got Married is airing tomorrow night. I am so sad about this! They have been together almost a year and a half! They are the longest lasting couple to be on WGM. :) They will be missed by all their viewers! I hope that in the future they can resume a relationship.

WGM also has 'rumored' couples that could be entering as the new couple and I don't have the list with me currently so I will post them soon. I just know Taeyang, Daesung, and Chansung, and also I believe Wooyong are rumored to be paired with someone- POSSIBLY. I hope one of them get it!

*TVXQ has a song on their new album with Seohyun called "Journey" it is really good :) Listen to it if you have a chance!

Also, if you haven't arleady heard, AMBER from f(x) has returned :) and is gettign ready for f(x)'s new album. I think their popularity is about to boost up once again!

That's all I have been staying up to date with really as far as KPOP right now~ I am so BUSY! I'm sorry! I'll do a thorough update later on!

AS FAR AS CIEE GOES~

I am helping them find host families for next fall! :) It's fun! I also am still getting ready to apply, they told me not to fill out the PDF, but I still am so if there is still the same questions I can have it completed and will be able to swiftly complete my application. :) I also posted one vlog for this! you can find that on my youtube.

ciee 2011~

So I recently checked ciee again to see updates on the program to South Korea I wanted to go on for 2012, but then I looked over the requirements for the high school students and they added "recently graduated" so that means I can go this summer! :) So I have started to fill out all of my application paper work! It's a lot shorter than the other one, but it will give me a taste of South Korea and if thats the language I want to focus on. :) Since I've been conflicted between Korean and Japanese this is a great solution, then I will have experienced both!

So I will most DEFINITELY be blogging about my application process and whats going on, similar to my Japan blog! So please subscribe! I also will be doing a vlog, once again, for this experience on youtube! If you want the link just leave a comment and I'll post it!

As for right now I am trying to get ahead in my school studies so that I have more time to study up on South Korean culture, language, etc; just like last time. I really want this with all my heart! I hope I can work hard and suceed once again. This will be a GREAT opportunity! it is only 2 weeks in Seoul. You stay on Yonsei University campus, in a dorm with all the other ciee students and you get to work with Korean students, go to lectures on the language, history, etc. Then on your first weekend you get to stay with one of the student you have been working with and their family to experience the 'homestay' and what a Korean household is like. You also get to go on excursions around seoul, even a little free time~ :) It looks exciting, and a great boost for school. I believe, it's in early august - so, LITERALLY, I would leave and come back and go straight to my college dorm, or at least be within days of moving up to USU in Logan, Utah! It will be busy, but VERY MUCH worth it. :) I hope I am lucky enough to recieve this opportunity.

TVXQ is moving forward. Since the split the group has been a little flustered. But, finally - Uknow and Changmin are stepping it up with a new release in January! I cannot wait! Here is a preview sment release recently.

I am glad that JYJ and TVXQ will both move forward in a positive way. They all still love each other and are a family no matter what. In the words they still live by, "Always Keep The Faith."

UPDATE:

WGM airs this New Years! So be sure to watch its going to be a great episode for all the couples (so I've heard from other reliable internet sources :) and I just know it will be good! lol)
I saw these lovey dovey couple aprons for Vday and I just thought of WGM's nic&vic! hahahaha xD So adorable.

Since I'm going to see SNSD, Super Junior, SHINee, TVXQ, etc next summer in L.A. I will give Seohyun a gift for her and Yonghwa! :)

I am really into B2ST/BEAST lately. :) They are really good and DJ and AJ are so SEXY!!!!!!!!!! xD I flipped out when he was on WGM with GaIn and JoKwon. "Shock" is my favorite song still but I do love "Beautiful"

Beside's SM's TVXQ release there isn't really anything new from SM. YG has some GD&TOP stuff being released. JYP is kinda at a stand still as far as I've seen as of late - nothing really new....

the only real thing I've seen from it was TAEYANG's performance of Break Down and I Need A Girl. He should have preformed I Need A Girl first so he wouldn't have been so tired!

I'm so surprised! I've heard about this guy that came out with an EP this month named, Jooyeong. He is fantastic. :) Beautiful voice. I love all of his music. He has great English pronunciation. :) Check him out!

I got the RICE COOKER for Christmas! haha I was so happy! & I got Creating Destiny dvd set! & my Korean Dictionary/Phrase Book! YESSS~~~~ haha I also got a couple of other things; like my class ring :) it's beautiful (personally designed it- didn't think I was going to get it until Graduation!), 2PM and BIGBANG poster!!! yeah booiii...etc

Lately I've been obsessed with G-Dragon. Haha Cool. he is really attractive when he wants to be!

REAL 2PM recently uploaded this video of Taec using a plush to dance to "I'll Be Back" and I thought it was so cute and funny! I love him. He is the only man in the world that has me starstruck. xD haha

I guess he dyed his hair back dark, unless this is older, but REAL 2PM always uploads recent videos so I think he went back dark. I like him better dark, blonde wasn't bad but it looks better dark. :)

This Week

It's already another week. 2010 is almost over, it went by just like that. Alot has happened and is happening.

I finished "Creating Destiny," loved it. I asked for the dvd set for Christmas. :D I hope I get it! My Mom already surprised me with the "Playful Kiss" dvd set as an early present. She is awesome. Anyway, "Creating Destiny" was AMAZING. I highly recommend it to all romance, drama, comedy, family TV show lovers. So watch it! It's avaiable on hulu :) I am going to start up, "Shining Inheritance" again and finish that series, it was just SO~ depressing that I had to stop, but it seems where I left off it is getting more positive.

I also know that I will be getting the posters of 2PM and BIGBANG I asked for for Christmas, because the mail man came and had them in his hand hahaha! It made me laugh, my mom said, "You weren't suppose to see these!" and I was all like, "What?...I don't know what your talking about." tehehe. She told me to get the door so it's not my fault.

~ WGM was on, on Saturday. Adorable, although it takes Nichkhun's and Victoria's episode a day or two to be release, which it was yesterday, but I still need to watch it. It seems Seohyun and Yonghwa's relationship is finally reaching a good point. They are getting really close. I think Seohyun sincerely likes Yong~ and would like their relationship to be real. :) Jokwan and Gain, are themselves as usual, being childish and loving each other as much as ever. :) Nichkhun and Victoria are, in my opinion, the most romantic and serious of the couples and they are continuing their trip in Thailand, where he introduced her to his family - I'm sorry, but not even Gain and Jokwon have visited their parents so if Nichkhun is already introducing her to his family then I'd say he likes this girl ALOT. They should date, they both want a realationship outside of the show so WHY NOT? It's frustrating sometimes. I think Gain and Jokwon already are, in secret, like they said they would if they were ever going to get together. Then next showing of WGM is this Saturday! www.wonderfulgereration.net for SeoHwa and KhunToria

Right now there are a lot fans wanting another couple to be added to WGM. Taecyeon (from 2PM) and Yoona (from SNSD). After Family Outing Season 2, everyone believes the sincerety of Taec and Yoona's relationship, yet they haven't taken any further steps behond friendship, so WGM, I think, would push that, and SNSD and 2PM would be given ALOT of spotlight and popularity. I think this would be the best choice in couples for the next couple to join WGM. I hope they do! I will look into it more and see what I can find out. :) I am a major fan of these two being together, I think they compliment each other VERY VERY VERY~~~ well.

Hey everyone! It's the middle of a new week and so far so good. Senioritis kicked in months ago for me. I want to be out of high school, already, so I'm just tyring to roll with the punches.

I thought I'd talk about what current korean tv shows I'm into lately and where you can find these things.

Currently I'm watching only 1 drama series (it's easier to only watch one at a time, but hey! If you want to watch more go right ahead. I like to savor so I take my time.). It is called "Creating Destiny" when translated into English. I love it! It is one of my top 3 of all time so far! All the dramas I have watched are the following:
-Boys Before Flowers
-You're Beautiful
-Personal Taste
-Playful Kiss (My mom bought me the dvd set :) So now I can watch it on the tv now! This is my number 1, most favorite, series of all time. It was the first manga and anime series I watched as a preteen and I loved the korean drama adaption so much that I wanted to own it!)
-& now Creating Destiny

I know that you can watch Personal Taste, Boys Before Fowers, Playful Kiss, and Creating Destiny all on HULU (which I HIGHLY recommend! Best website to watch dramas). You can watch You're Beautiful on www.dramacrazy.net (as well as the other ones).

They are all, in the end, romance stories, but if you enjoy that, comedy, and kroean melodrama then they are the shows for you! All of the subtitles, at least in English, are available. It's nice! I've picked up words and how sentences work and proper "sir" names are used, just by watching them.

Now about Korean Variety TV. I love Variety TV! It is the best type of television on the planet! Because you still get the reality aspect yet the plot aspect all in one! Currently I am only watching "We Got Married" it is the best show on television, in the world. No joke. It is funny, cute, romantic, sweet, unfathomable unless you watch it! Haha it's the best. They set up celebrities and have them "marry" each other and just experience the married life, while doing certian events together. It is adorable. It's a much better version of Newly Weds! :) haha They have to live together, pay bills together, and even, if they want, buy acutal -real priced- rings! Two couples already did that. It was adorable. I watch WGM for couples, Khuntoria and YongSeo on www.wonderfulgeneration.net and the other couple on http://snjeung.wordpress.com/

I have watched all of the following:
-Family Outing Season 2 (can also watch on wonderfulgeneration.net)
-Family Outing Season 1 (some of it)
-We Got Married Season 2-current
-We Got Married Season 1 (some of it.)

They are hilarious!

I also watch some game and talk shows like "Strong Heart." They are really entertaining and you get to watch your favorite celebrities do the funniest of things! Asian Game shows are the best... haha!

I'm in the process of trying to find a live streaming to Korean TV, my dad found "Arashi TV" on one of our comcast channels! I freaked out! Becuase, that was my favorite TV show while I lived in Japan, so now I can watch it. I hope that I can find a Korean one.

My previous blog took all of us abroad to Yokohama, Japan - and now my next goal is to get to South Korea. Surprisingly, being in Japan I was exposed to a lot of the pop culture of South Korea. Where I lived, I had Korea Town in Shinokubo, a city close by me, and my sister and all of my friends LOVED Korea music. Of course I got a lot of Japan, I lived there. haha But I want to head a little more East before I make my final decision on what I want to do in the future. I want to experience South Korea. My host family is excited that I want to learn Korean and go to South Korea - they loved going there on vacations. My younger sister, Shino, always was practicing Korean and she would teach me some phrases and we would watch Kdrama's together :) haha it was fun!

Now, it is time for me to discover more and pursue more. That is why, I am going to apply for CIEE's summer South Korean intensive language study program. It is only 6 weeks, yet you get to do so much. I know I can handle that long because I was in Japan that long and on this program I get a lot more freedom and independence. I will be living on campus at Yonsei University, in a dorm - I will get to attend classes and when I'm not going to classes and studying, I get to explore Seoul with, hopefully, new found friends. I can't wait for this! this will really help me make my decision for the future whether to pursue Korean or focus on Japanese. I have been very conflicted because, having been to Japan I feel almost bound to learn that language, yet I think I need to experience South Korea before I make a final decision. I need to experience before I press judgement. I know I need to do this, because every time I tell myself I need to just stick with Japanese, my heart drops, because of my new found fondness of Korean culture and language. So this will be the best way to help me solidify my feelings.

For my first year of college, this fall, I will take Korean because of my trip the following summer. Then when I get home I can decide completely if I should stay with Korean or go back to Japanese.

& so my quest begins...SOUTH KOREA HERE I COME :)
